Diversity Overview
The Race and Diversity Unit is a stand-alone section within
Corporate Support reporting directly to the Commander (responsible
for ACPO Support).
The Unit is comprised of specialist police officers and staff
with knowledge and expertise in a range of diversity-focused
disciplines.
The focus of their work relates to all diversity issues both
internally and externally.
The unit have ongoing projects, which look at the legislative
requirements in relation to diversity as well as issues relating to
improving service delivery to all our communities.
Members of the Unit attend a number of community events to
promote the work being undertaken, and are supported by colleagues
across the organisation. This helps to ensure diversity is
mainstreamed throughout all the activities of the City of London
Police.
This section of our site outlines in brief a few examples of the
work the Force has undertaken to ensure diversity is promoted in
all the work we do.
