City of London Police detectives investigating allegations of an online ticketing fraud against thousands of people across the UK have arrested (10 June) a 41-year-old man and searched premises. The man remains on police bail.
The police operation was in connection to an abundance of complaints made by customers over the past fortnight stating they had bought but never received the tickets for various concerts, including the Take That Progress tour. Detectives launched an investigation earlier this week after being passed hundreds of fraud reports made to Action Fraud and analysed by the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau.
If you think you have been a victim of this fraud the quickest and easiest way to record the crime is to report to http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud. Making a crime report using this tool will provide you with a Crime Reference Number and your report will be passed on to the NFIB.
