scheme
On Your bike!
Sgt Anthony Wolfson and
Police Committee member Mark Boleat
City of London Police officers have been on the streets to see
how the first users of London’s newest public transport system are
settling into their saddles.
TfL’s cycling scheme goes live today (July 30th) with 315
docking stations and 5,000 bikes available across the
capital. There are 31 sites docking in the City of
London.
Details of exactly which docking sites are now live and further
information on the scheme, including safety tips, are available on
the
TfL
website.
City of London Police Inspector Dave Hargreaves said,
"Hundreds of people already cycle in the City of London daily
and this scheme will bring new cyclists onto the roads. They have
the same rights as other road users and we'll continue to work hard
with the cycling community to provide education around safer
cycling."
