‘City a safe place’ - website
A website launched to compare councils across the UK has praised
the City of London’s public services for effectively addressing
community concerns.
The Oneplace website describes public services as "working well
together to make the City a safe place." It goes on to say "Crime
rates are low and have been going down steadily over the last seven
years. There is less crime in the City than much of London and
people feel safe living here."
The website uses an independent assessment to provide an
overview of the area. It highlights that levels of anti-social
behaviour remain low, and that community’s concerns regarding
drunken and rowdy behaviour are being dealt with effectively.
Describing the City as a "a unique, historic place", the website
also praises the support given by the Corporation to small
businesses and local communities in the region around the City,
which it describes as an "outstanding achievement".
