City of London Police is renewing its appeal for information on

Brown, 43, was given a 7-year prison sentence, in his absence,
at Southwark Crown Court today, (May 8 2009).
He lived a millionaire's lifestyle with a private jet and yacht,
but his money had come from duping investors into investing cash
into bond deals that never took place.
Officers have liased with forces both in the UK and overseas in
a bid to locate the Glasgow-born businessman who has been missing
since June 2008.
DC Katie Balls from the City of London Police said: "It's
time Michael Brown faced up to his crimes and City of London Police
will continue to look for him and liaise with police across the
globe. We know he has links with Majorca and the Caribbean and
would ask that anyone who thinks they may have knowledge of his
whereabouts contact us."
Brown is described as 6'2'', heavy build with a round face and
greying hair. He has a deep voice and speaks with a soft Scottish
accent. He has also been known to wear glasses. He used to have a
distinctive ponytail, but it's believed he may have changed his
appearance.
In October 2008, Brown was convicted of 2 counts of theft,
furnishing false information and perverting the course of
justice.
