Policing pledge

What is the Policing Pledge?

The Policing Pledge is a set of national standards and tells you the level of service you can expect to receive from us. It places you at the heart of our services. 

Following an extensive public consultation exercise, the local Policing Pledge for the City of London was revised and refreshed in April 2010.

What does it mean for me?

The Pledge details what we aim to deliver and includes:

  • standards for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls
  • how you can have a say over how your neighbourhood is policed
  • how you can expect to receive up-to-date information about crime in your area and
  • how you will be supported if you are a victim of crime.
