Overview & brief history
The ward of Bishopsgate stretches from Worship Street in the
north to London Wall in the south. The area is predominantly
businesses, with a large smattering of very busy local hostelries.
The ward is dominated by the Broadgate development which covers
about 50% of the area, it also includes Liverpool Street railway
station and the 300,000 transient travellers who pass through each
work day. The working population is approximately 46,000. There are
48 residents, the majority of which are private owners.
