Overview & brief history

Candlewick Ward has its north boundary along Lombard Street, east boundary along Gracechurch Street to the Monument, south boundary along Arthur Street, incorporating traffic from/to London Bridge, west boundary along Laurence Pountney Lane, Sherbourne Lane and Abchurch Lane.

From a retail perspective it has a House of Fraser 'flagship' store at the Monument junction as well as other retail outlets.

There are two churches - St Mary Abchurch, Abchurch Lane and St Clement's Church at Clement's Lane. Public Houses include The Crosse Keys and The Counting House. There is one hotel, London Capital Club in Abchurch Lane.
