Overview & brief history of this Ward
This ward covers an area from the Boys School in the west to
Queens Quay in the east, Queen Victoria Street in the north to the
River in the south. A mixture of residential and business premises,
it is a lively and busy ward. The Millennium Bridge encourages
tourists all year round.
The prestigious City of London Boys School is situated in the ward
as well as Painters and Stainers Hall. The refurbished Salvation
Army International Headquarters, Old Mutual Headquarters, the
Sumoto Corporation, the 68 flats in at Sir John Lyon House and the
hotel by Queens Quay are amongst the few buildings located in this
ward.
