Overview & brief history

The ward of Vintry is situated in the south west of the South area and is bounded by Queen Victoria Street EC4, Cannon Street EC4, Queenhithe EC4 and Cousin Lane EC4.

The ward has several large office complexes such as Thames Court, Vintners Place and Senator House and Walbrook Wharf (City Of London Corporation).

The London Chamber Of Commerce and Industry is situated in Queen Street EC4 and there are a few licensed premises.

The Vintners Hall, a Livery Company, is situated by Southwark Bridge, and St James Garlickhythe church is close by. Mansion House Underground station is within the ward as well as a major trunk road, Upper Thames Street, which is managed by Transport for London.
