Help us to trace a man who assaulted a woman in a City bar

The City of London Police is appealing for information to help trace a man believed to have assaulted a woman inside a City bar.

On Wednesday 2 April, inside B@1 bar on Brushfield Street near Spitalfields market the victim, a woman aged 20, was out having a drink with a friend.

The woman and her friend met a group of men and spent the rest of the evening in their company.

At about 11pm, the women were approached by one of the men who tried to interact with them. As the women were engrossed in conversation they were not paying attention to the man. He then became agitated and tried to get their attention, he then lashed out and threw both his drinks at the women, hitting one of them in the face with a glass in a seemingly unprovoked attack.

The man is described as white, slim build with short dark hair, wearing a light coloured shirt and suit with black shoes.

Watch the CCTV footage (above) of the incident to see if you recognise the man.

If you recognise this man or witnessed the incident, please contact DC James Harris from the City of London Police on 0207 601 2222 or email james.harris1@city-of-london.pnn.police.uk
