Project Argus

Project Argus

Project ARGUS is an initiative developed by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) and delivered by Counter Terrorism Security Advisers (CTSAs) throughout the UK.

This three hour multimedia simulation poses questions and dilemmas for participants working in syndicates and aims to raise awareness of the threat from terrorism, providing practical advice on preventing, handling and recovering from an attack.

Project ARGUS sessions can be designed for the following sectors:

  • Office and Retail

  • Night Time Economy

  • Hotels

  • Education

  • Health

Project ARGUS is ideal for managers in areas such as facilities, security, reception and those responsible for creating and maintaining response plans. However we do welcome all staff as we know that in the event of a major incident, anyone within the organisation could be in a position where they need to exercise those response plans.

Due to the high demand for places on Project Griffin & Project ARGUS at Wood Street Police Station, we have now changed the way we manage our bookings.

Priority will be given to those working within the City of London Force area, please check you are within the City boundary by clicking here; https://www.cityoflondon.police.uk/contact-city-police/police-stations/Pages/default.aspx

We do have a small number of spaces available for organisations that have links within the City, but are not based here.

There will also be a limit of five people per organisation for each session.

Please contact your local Police Force to find out more about Project Griffin and Project ARGUS in your area.

To book your place for Project Griffin or ARGUS hosted by the City of London Police, please go to ‘Eventbrite’ using this link.

Please note: Bookings will only be accepted from a registered business email address. If you have any queries about this please contact us.

Alternatively we can host a session at the location of your choice within the City of London. In a multi tenanted building, a combined approach is the best way to plan and prepare for a major incident, so we do advise this is considered when organising an in-house event.

Project ARGUS is offered to you free of charge, however there is a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 50 participants required.
