Find out below which changes should be reported, how soon to report them, and who to report them to.
I'd like to report a change to my occupation
If you need to report a change in occupation (eg the same company but a promotion), you should do this via your online account within eight days of the change.
You don't need to attend the Overseas Visitors Records Office (OVRO).
Please note: If you've been granted a new visa on the basis of a new or existing employer or sponsor, self employment or change of occupation, then you'll need to update your account with the new visa details as well as your occupation and employer details and book an appointment to attend the OVRO.
Please bring with you:
your police registration certificate (PRC)
your biometric residence permit (BRP) with UKVI/Home Office approval letter or email
your employment contract or letter from employer detailing the job title and full work name and address.
If you live and are registered with another police force outside of the London or City of London area but work in the London or City of London area, you must report to the police force you live in and not the police force covering were you work if this happens to be in London.
