Business Development Officer

Provide business operational support and assistance to the Academy team including dealing directly with clients with a focus on guaranteeing an excellent customer experience. Provide support from a training delivery perspective, co-ordinating courses from registration through to feedback and ensuring all materials, venues and other resources are ready for the training delivery team; this includes producing joining instructions, letters of engagements, workbooks and marketing material. Provide financial support to the Head of Operations when needed.

  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal, written and face-to-face regardless of audience;
  • Superior proven IT skills at a level to enable the post holder to produce publishing quality documents and formal correspondence, maintain sophisticated IT systems, databases and produce complex spreadsheets and reports
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines in a pressurised environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional administrative skills
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically with outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and build excellent working relationships

Knowledge

  • Financial awareness
  • Understanding of a training environment

Experience

  • Experience of creating high quality documents, preferably for use in education or training
  • Significant experience of administration
  • Experience of managing client relationships, including use of relating IT
  • Experience of use of social media for marketing and/or advertising purposes

  • Marketing experience
  • Sales experience
  • Experience of business development practices
  • Analytical skills, able to construct concise reports of analysed material
  • Experience of monitoring budgets and reconciling transactions
  • Experience of working with corporate procurement
