Digital Engagement Manager - ECD

You’ll play an important role in developing our brand name and national policing reputation as you set the digital strategy for a key area of the business, the Economic Crime Directorate.

Dynamic and decisive, you will lead on digital strategy including website content, digital customer engagement and social media presence.  It’s a chance to take charge of the day-to-day operations, strategic management and development of all online and digital communications activities. Your challenging remit will include overseeing website content, digital customer engagement, and our social media presence while providing relevant and timely fraud prevention online messaging to members of the public and stakeholders. You'll also raise your profile as the primary contact for digital delivery and online communications for the Directorate at all levels.

You’ll come to us with experience or qualifications in public relations together with a sound understanding of the public sector or emergency services. Perhaps you’re currently at management level in a communications role or maybe within internal communications. You will definitely have a proven track record of using social media in a communications role together with an understanding of relevant media and communication guidance and protocols. Your expert communication skills will enable you to prepare clear and concise documents, manage and mentor junior colleagues and influence and counsel at all levels both in and outside the organisation.

Policing the Square Mile brings with it particular challenges, quite unlike any other policing area within the UK. To recognise this, we offer a wide range of benefits, including a subsidised canteen, employee discounts, flexible working and access to the local government pension scheme. We also support your personal and professional development by offering a leadership programme, 360 personal reviews, and generous sponsorship for courses.

To join our unique and dynamic environment…
