Programme Administration Manager


The City of London Police Economic Crime Academy are looking for a Programme Admin Manager to join their team. We are looking for individuals who have a passion and drive to deliver a world class service within the Fraud and Economic crime training environment. The post holder’s duties are to manage the programme delivery administration ensuring a high level of customer service. The post holder will be involved in the pre and post course management of the learner experience and includes liaising with trainers, clients re training venues, quality assuring joining instructions, managing the booking of specialist speakers, preparing training boxes, managing the co-ordination of assignments and portfolios, analysing feedback, assisting with marketing of courses at conferences.

The post holder will ensure that a positive, timely and cost effective delivery service is provided to internal and external customers.

The post­ holder will be a member of the Academy management team and of the specialist training team responsible for developing and delivering core and bespoke products in financial crime related learning programmes.

Selection Criteria


  • Knowledge of economic crime operations; including management of investigation teams
  • Understand the learning process
  • Understand the role of the trainer
  • Liaising and negotiating with clients and stakeholders to identify business and learning needs that inform training design and delivery.
  • A strong customer and business focus with the ability to manage and provide a service to multiple, diverse customers with challenging requirements
  • Have excellent problem solving and lateral thinking skills in order to devise innovative solutions to learning.
  • Contribute to research proposals in the economic crime disciplines and to the integration of effective research in to learning
  • Effective inter­personal, influencing and communication skills in order to communicate effectively with clients from all areas of the counter fraud community, both locally and internationally and represent the ECA.
  • Effective planning and organising skills
  • Be able to demonstrate effective manager skills
  • Ability to manage and develop administrative, procedures in a learning environment.
  • Ability to analyse detailed performance information and make recommendations for service improvement to senior managers based on findings.
  • Excellent oral communication skills in order to liaise with senior managers, external clients and potential customers on a range of matters.
  • Excellent written communication skills in order to write detailed reports with recommendations on a range of ECA service issues
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a busy environment.

  • Proven IT skills at a level to enable the post holder to produce publishing quality documents and formal correspondence, maintain sophisticated IT systems and databases and produce complex spreadsheets and reports
