Property Office Supervisor

The City of London Police is a 1,300 strong Force working with the community and other partners to promote a safe, peaceful and crime-free environment in the historic square mile. The Intelligence & Information Directorate provides support and expertise to all investigative units across the City of London Police.
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Office Supervisor which role is to support the Forces ongoing challenge surrounding the recording, tracking and disposal of police property.  As a Property Office Supervisor you will have day to day responsibility for all aspects of Property Management as well as supervising a small team. The ideal candidate is goal orientated, forward thinking and able to implement change. 
You will be working within the Records and Property Team and our department has a strong, integrated information management vision in which property plays a big part. To join us, you’ll need to be a confident and influential communicator, with relevant experience.
The ideal Property Officer shall have experience of managing police property and understand relevant legislation which includes PACE, Police Property Act and MoPI. In addition, being able to demonstrate competent IT skills would be a positive advantage.
Key requirements
An excellent communicator, with strong customer service skills, you must be able to work with minimum supervision in a pressurised environment.  You will need to be a good team player, with excellent communication skills combined with the ability to plan and organise your workload.  You must have experience in the management of police property and be competent in the use of technical IT systems. Proficient user of NICHE would be an advantage.
