Officer with Panasonic Toughpad
All of our uniformed officers (by middle of 2016) will be issued with a Panasonic Toughpad tablet device.

Mobile working project

This page is intended for those who have had an interaction with a City of London Police Officer who was using our new mobile technology.

The mobile working project is about

  • Putting the right information directly in the palm of police officers

  • Improved experience for the public

  • Efficiency delivery both on the street and the back office

  • Increasing Visibility

By the middle of 2016 all City of London Police uniformed officers will be issued with a Panasonic Toughpad tablet device that is linked to our police network.

Police Officers will be able to complete forms such as Statements, Penalty Notices, Crimes and Stop Searches digitally. Real time intelligence and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate recognition) will be instantly available to the Police Officer.

The project will continue to evolve to fully realise the government’s vision of a digital justice system.

The devices and software have undergone extensive testing both internally and externally.
