Former PC Kaburu Theuri

Kaburu Theuri, a former City of London Police officer, was dismissed without notice at a public disciplinary hearing on 9 March 2021, after it was found that the allegations against him amounted to gross misconduct.

The allegations were that, while Theuri was a probationer, his:

1. actions sending inappropriate communications, having already been warned about such behaviour, breached the standards expected for Orders and Instructions;
2. actions of sending force briefing slides to his home email address breached the standard expected for Confidentiality, Orders and Instructions;
3. failure to declare a criminal caution on his vetting form breached the standard expected for Honesty and Integrity.

Theuri resigned from the force in October 2020 and did not attend the hearing. The outcome of the hearing will see him added to the police barred list.
