An accelerated misconduct hearing was held on Thursday 22 December 2022, whereby student PC Ud-din was found guilty of gross misconduct and would have been dismissed, had he still been a serving officer.
The allegation was that Ud-din failed to disclose information upon application to join the City of London Police, breaching the standard expected for honesty and integrity.
Mr Ud-din joined the City of London Police as a probationer in August 2022 and resigned in early December.
The outcome of the hearing will mean Mr Ud-din is added to the police barred list, which will prevent him from re-entering the police service or joining other policing bodies.
