Formal identification takes place following death of a cyclist at Bank Junction

The cyclist that died at Bank Junction on Monday (22 June) has been formally identified as Ying Tao, aged 26 (2.11.1988). 

She was a Chinese national working in London. 

Police were called at 8.59 on Monday 22 June to Bank junction to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a tipper truck. 

At 9.42am, the female cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tipper truck stopped at the scene. 

Detectives from the City of London Police continue to investigate. 

No arrests
