Alcohol Awareness Week 12th – 20th September 2014

The City of London Police will be supporting a national Alcohol Week of Action from September 12th to 20th highlighting the realities of dealing with drunkenness and alcohol-related incidents as well as the impact it has on the police service.

Throughout the week-long campaign, the Licensing Team will be carrying out a variety of activities aimed at preventing crime and raising awareness of responsible drinking.

The team will be working with young people and licensees in the City to address any issues of underage sales of alcohol.

Enforcement visits will also be carried out with the London Fire Brigade and the Corporation of London to make sure licensed premises are compliant with fire safety regulations and mandatory conditions.

Each day of the week (12th – 20th Sep) the force will be tweeting key messages around alcohol harm, police response, responsible drinking and how individuals can easily fall victim to crime.
