A man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with a knife following a confrontation over the suspect’s dog fouling near the junction of Ropemaker Street and Moorgate on the 16 December 2023.
Following a press appeal and extensive enquires to identify the suspect, a man surrendered himself at Bishopsgate Police Station.
Franklin Da Silva, 29, will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today.
Detective Sergeant David Honan of the City of London Police said:
“I would like to thank those members of the public who contacted us and volunteered information as to the identity of the suspect. This investigation underscores our commitments to relentlessly pursue offenders and keep people safe in the city.”
The victim’s injuries were thankfully not life threatening.
