A man aged 32 has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious assault on Castle Baynard Street.
Officers were called shortly after 5am today (18 September). The man was apprehended by police officers close to the scene and has been brought into custody.
London Ambulance Service also attended, and a man has been taken to hospital with injuries that are consistent with being stabbed. His injuries are believed to be life changing but not life threatening.
A small section of the cycle highway on Castle Bayard Street is closed and a diversion is in place.
