A man has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after being convicted of six counts of thefts in licensed premises in the City.
Rostom Zenir, 24, of no fixed address, stole around £4,000 worth of items, including laptops, between 12 December 2024 and 15 January 2025 at a licensed premise on Little Somerset Street.
Zenir was also handed a Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from entering the Square Mile for five years.
Detective Sergeant Helen Bentley, City of London Police, said:
“We hope that this CBO and sentence will give reassurance to people who work, live and visit the City, and also to licensed premises.
“A CBO will help us protect businesses and communities from various offences, including theft and anti-social behaviour.
“We take such offences very seriously and this is a warning that we will bring those committing crimes in the City to justice.”
Zenir could face further jail time if he breaches the CBO.
