The National Cybercrime Team is pleased to announce that Waterstons, an international cyber security consultancy, has been awarded the contract to become the new system provider for Police CyberAlarm, following a competitive commercial tender process.

Waterstons, a National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) approved Certified Cyber Consultancy, has a proven track record in supporting organisations to safeguard their critical data, protect their reputations, and build resilience. Their expertise spans both large enterprises and small and medium-sized organisations, providing strategic guidance and hands-on support.

Head of the NPCC National Cybercrime Team, Detective Chief Superintendent Andrew Gould commented: “This is an exciting new partnership for Police CyberAlarm as we continue to evolve and enhance the service for our members. Waterstons is a well-known and trusted organisation across law enforcement, and we look forward to working with their highly experienced team.”

The transition from the current technology partner, Pervade, will take place over the coming months. Importantly, service to existing members will remain unaffected.

Andrew added: “We would like to thank our friends from Pervade for their unwavering dedication and passion for Police CyberAlarm and public service. Their commitment and great work has laid a strong foundation for Police CyberAlarm, and we are hugely grateful for their contribution.”

Police CyberAlarm is a Home Office funded cyber threat detection service, offered free of charge to organisations across the UK. Delivered by a dedicated team of police officers and staff in partnership with a trusted technology provider, the service helps businesses and public sector organisations strengthen their defences against cybercrime.

Stewart Hogg, Associate Director for Cyber at Waterstons added: “We’re excited to bring together technical expertise from across our services, including software, data and analytics, AI and digital solutions, as well as all areas of the cyber security division to support organisations across the UK through Police CyberAlarm.

“The threat landscape has never been more challenging for businesses of all sizes, in all sectors, with an attack or breach having serious impact on customers, revenue and reputation.

“We’re passionate about protecting organisations, as well as equipping teams with the knowledge they need to detect and react to cyber incidents, and reduce their impact.”

Every day, businesses and organisations face thousands of cyberattacks. Police CyberAlarm works alongside existing network security devices to monitor activity, identify threats, and provide actionable intelligence, helping members strengthen their defences against cybercrime.
