Stage 1 – Eligibility
Before you apply or start the application form, please check you are eligible to join us.
Stage 2 – Application
Visit the City of London Police careers website to apply. If you would like to be placed on the expressions of interest list for when applications open, please email [email protected].
Stage 3 – Shortlisting
Your application form will be reviewed against the eligibility criteria and the Police Competency Values Framework. Candidates shortlisted for an interview or assessment will be advised in writing. Please note that we do not provide feedback for candidates who are not shortlisted.
Stage 4 – Assessment Centre
Policing Volunteers will need to pass an interview with the Police Reserve management and the local department. Volunteer Police Officers will be required to pass an Assessment Centre which consists of a Fitness Test, the Police Initial Recruitment Test (PIRT), and a competency-based interview which will be against the Police Competency Values Framework. These Assessment Centres will be held in September and October. Some Policing Volunteer roles may require passing the Fitness Test and PIRT.
